what a DAY yesterday.

i shot my first professional roll(s) of film on my first ever professional film camera. i woke up to my sensai outside my window calling my name. he brought me presents: a Nikon F100 and a HUGE bag of unused e6 and c41 professional film of all kinds. and he brought a model, Rain Miller, who is also a stylist and makeup guru, and all around fabulous gal, for me to shoot. it was the best present i have ever received.

two samplings from yesterday. :)

i have these two itchy spots on my back. in the exact same spot, spaced apart mirrored by my spine. there is nothing visible. no bite. no mark. no redness. and these "itches" have been there, in the exact same spots, for the past 6 months...basically right where wings would sprout. it's pretty interesting. and strange.

when my cell phone busted, all of the bunches of photos it obtained went with it. happily, i had emailed many of them to myself. over the life of that cell phone, i journeyed along a project i immediately named "remains". the above photo is one of my favorites. you can see the rest, here:

the new kids on the 600 block - vitale art show was last night. below is my piece for the show. (there are photos on the sides of the box as well)

and a shot of the gallery on show night. everyone's pieces were really sick. i am really happy to have been a part of this show with all of the local artists i admire.

today i submitted pictures to www.jonessoda.com to be considered for their bottles.

i developed more film for my project too. i only need 2 more bumpin' frames.

my walgreens guy is the best. i pulled in to walgreens this evening while he was still on his break and sitting in his car eating an oreo cookie mcflurry. i knocked on the side of his car and handed him my roll of film through the open window. "hey you."

and he texts me when the roll is done. walgreens is 2 blocks from my house. life is bliss.

this is my most favorite picture i have ever taken in the whole wide universe.

so ive been using my boyfriends nikon n80 to shoot... which is admirable considering that somehow ive broken every film camera within 10 feet of me in the past 2 months.

this week im shooting for my project due on saturday: New Kids On The 600 Block. at the Vitale Studio. it has fired me up. and ive actually inspired my sensai to seriously work on a art gallery performance project. to be honest, the sound of the shutter earlier got all my pelvic muscles fired up.

“For me, insanity is super sanity. The normal is psychotic. Normal means lack of imagination, lack of creativity.”

all scientifically genius or artistically genius people in history are all slightly to severely "crazy." for them to view the world as they do, how could they not be? but it's only the robots of society, the normies, the filler material, that are calling them crazy. so don't be bothered genii, us half-wits have your back.

i love to drive around at night. its so comforting. i went through a big phase a few months back where that's what i would do to pass evening hours alone. going nowhere. just exploring and thinking. and for some reason i like to pretend i live in a past decade. mostly the 60's and 70's. not just at night though. i pretend this mostly while driving. and i support the habit by listening to the oldies stations and pretend that im smoking cigarettes again. but i read a LOT. my whole life. so i have a big imagination and ADHD. i've got to do something to exercise all the muscles of my brain to their full capacity.

so, as been told, my point and shoot was broken and my 35 mm slr doesn't work anymore. and now. i broke my phone. so im using my back-up one. and then 1 hour later, my sisters vintage minolta that i had been borrowing stopped working. it's crazy. no pictures to post. but tomorrow.

and it's preserving innocence. none of the rest. it's not as complicated as i thought....still getting there though.

i want to see some live footage of the doors playing love her madly. or even just live footage of people dancing to it. as long as its pre 1976.

statement consideration: consuming knowledge while preserving innocence

this one makes the most sense and is very personal to me. i love learning things. i just want to sit and listen to everything anyone has to say. especially scientific information. animals, outerspace, philosophy, conspiracies. mmm. gimme. but with knowledge our innocence and childlike nature often fades. i cant let it go. i won't. im like a little girl trapped in this giant woman's body.

these were taken with my point and shoot while driving in my neighborhood one day.
