i made it through a really bad bout with a mysterious sickness, and my 26th birthday.

my birthday is always the start of my favorite time of year. it starts to cool off and then a go-round of my favorite holidays comes marching through. florida needs to catch up on the cooling off thing though. i can't wait until i can open my windows and patio door and not close them again for a few months... my electric bill also becomes pretty much nonexistent.

i am starting to plan my winter vacation. the top runners are: minneapolis, boston, and new orleans.

also trying to complete my 35 mm project. it's hard deciding if what i have is good enough for my artist statement, and really just for my own harsh judgement. this last roll i shot didn't come out so great. but i bought a camera with underwater housing for my birthday present to myself so here are some of those photos. the roll that was preloaded in it was expired so the results were nifty for birthday fun.

also i got to act in a scene from johnny vitale's new short film ignition. like always, all of the people around are really awesome and talented friends, so it was a blast. john also asked me to help film the final scene, which should be coming up here soon. here is the latest trailer where you can see the gang i'm in, the amazons, looking badass:

today is the first day back in school. classes are: history of visual arts II and greek & roman art. what an interesting, short, 2 weeks of summer break. i read a lot of books. <3 looking to shoot some more during the day time as i have become more and more interested only in photos at night. thinking about shooting a black and white roll to switch things up as well. i love color terribly.

the start of my summer break. i have 2 weeks before fall semester starts. two weeks to clean, organize, and purge my belongings. two weeks to be inspired, take photos, and edit. two weeks to dress up and go out late. two weeks to relax and enjoy books, the sun, and friends.

speaking of fun. i just made these delicious morsels 10 minutes ago. here is the recipe: cheesecake stuffed strawberries . i substituted fat free cream cheese in mine.

i have reloaded my film camera and have been snapping away.

i have also started playing around on some other inspirational sites" piccsy, weheartit, flickrista, and of course stumbleupon i have put links to my pages on these sites to the right.

sick again. threw up last night all over the streets of ybor sober for the first time. had a fever today.

i love this part of summer in florida. it rains all the time. at least it is relief from the heat. i love wind, rain, clouds, and cold. maybe not all together. can't wait for the cold.

did my finger nails and toe nails newsprint style today. since i was confined to the couch. tomato soup with fresh basil for dinner. a guiness for good measure.

reading a lot somewhere in between my incessant and overwhelming schooling. i cannot complain. i love every moment of it. in between a rock and a hard place in the personal life realm. i am going to figure it out but made a stay of execution to think and probe at myself to see what i really want to do. a trip to mom's house is always fruitful...

these pretentious videos they put to some really cool songs is bothering me. the song is great, but the video just ruins it. it's risky trusting another artist to challenge your own mind's eye. this goes for all video and film related art i guess. like books to movies. when you read a great book and then go see the movie, and the director doesn't even come close to what your own mind envisioned.
