phew. finally picked up my laptop battery form my po box and now can continue on. lymph nodes are aching. i had a fever last night and i hope my body burned that sickness off because i am ready to make art today. doing a short fashion film with blackbird and co.

brewed some chocolate stout last week. it will be a while before it is ready. delicious. it smells like cereal in our house when we brew. the hops are incredible.

the nerdiest, scariest thing happen to me on saturday night. i had a caffeine overdose.

i was catching up with my friend late night over coffee. so excited, and talking a mile a minute, and forgetting i am sensitive to caffeine.

i got home and climbed in bed. stared into my cat's eye and felt my heart pumping harder than it ever had before.

eventually i fell asleep somewhere around 5 am.

the day after i decided i want to start treating my body better (i know -- overdosing on coffee is really hardcore).

i was raised really healthy by my mother and grandmother taking stuff from chlorophyll to silver to elderberry. there is a tried a true one. elderberry. go get some. the next time you start to feel sick, take some asap. you're cold will stop immediately.

have the next 2 weeks off of school and a very large to do list that has a lot of cleaning and art related projects.

spring semester is coming to a close. even though school has consumed my life already, this will probably be the last easy semester I have. The rest will be really intense art history courses taken 3 or 4 at a time.

i received my new camera. i won't pretend to not be exited. [:

i am using it for video work including my new project on homelessness which will be complete by next tuesday.

here are some sample pics from it. it's a nikon d3100 and i usually keep my nikkor 50mm prime 1.4 on there while not shooting video. the vr on the lens it came with is hard to compete with until i build my steady cam in class on monday.

Contemporary Art Museum @ USF: trenton doyle hancock exhibit

school school school schooool. school is fun and easy and all. it's just the writing. humph. the writing is not so fun for me. it's not even that it is hard. and i am actually quite good at it. it's just the act of sitting down, focusing, and organizing my thoughts into concise thoughts. its like drawing. i was naturally good at that but the act of sitting down to do it drove me crazy. but i found it fun at times when i was in the mood. so that's what i do lately. i trick myself into getting into the mood to write. i go to my secret floor of the library, sit in one of the desks in my favorite spot, and turn on mogwai. sometimes i even buy myself a huge starbucks coffee to help me feel like a pretentious author or poet.

right now i am supposed to be finishing up my rogerian arguement on violence in film and the media; specifically, a clockwork orange. i will do it. and it will be good i'm sure, but it has been plaguing me for almost 2 weeks. like the thought of sitting down to write is the hardest part of the assignment. i've done everything besides write, including packing up my winter clothes to go to storage.
